My Grandfather, about whom I know a little but would have liked to have learned more. I know that he lost both of his legs at the end of WW2, was a proud Guardsman and a farrier. As a young child I remember him attaching his metal prosthetic limbs and being frightened ... Im sure that fear played a greater part in his life than many of us will ever endure. But despite family differences, I know that he was always loved and respected as a decent and honourable man.
