I was with Malcom first in Berlin 1954, and then we moved to Duisburg on a Army catering course, We then moved to Gort Barracks in Hubblerath, We both worked in the main kitchen, and later he became a Sergants Mess cook, and I went as a cook in the Officers' Mess. He came over to Nottingham to see me when he had finished in the Army (to a wedding) after that we lost contact with each other. He was a lovelly guy a good personality and a true friend.
