Brian Albert Walker
Private Brian Albert Walker was born at Barts Hospital, on 22nd October 1937.
He joined the 1st battalion on 11th July 1956 and served in Cyprus and Malta.
He left on completion of his national service and worked in the Stock Exchange as a clerk, and later qualified as an accountant, retiring in 1997 and moving from London to Exmouth in Devon.
He belonged to the London Branch of the Grenadier Guards Association.
He died in the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital on 28 April 2014 after a long illness.
He is survived by one Daughter, Elaine. His Wife Norma, who he married in 1960, predeceased him in 2006, as did his two twin Sons, who both suffered from a muscular wasting disease, Kevin in 1977 and Ian in 1981.
