Corporal James Horsfield Born Malton 2-1-1921 Joined 1938 Served with the BEF. Moved to 'Phantom' Left 1946 Joined the North Riding Police. Retired from Police December 1971. Died 14.06.1981 in York. Heart attack. Wife Ellen, married in 1946. She was ATS. Died 1988 in York aged 63. Survived by one son (me, Donald) and Grandchildren Nicola and Iain. One daughter Ann, married to Mark, no children.
