Victor Ernest Jackson was born in London on the 3rd October, 1919. He joined the 3rd Battalion, Grenadier Guards c1939. He fought at Longstop Hill, North Africa & other areas including Liri Valley, Monte Cassino, Italy where I believe he was wounded. He left the Army in 1947 and worked in London for Shell UK, until his retirement in 1978. Victor was a huge supporter of the London Branch Association until his death in 1985. He died 15th February 1985. He is survived by his two sons Brian Victor & Alan Charles, his Daughter Brenda Lilian, his Grandchildren Lee and Paul and his Wife Florence Kemsley, whom he married on 23 June 1941. Sadly missed Dad.
