Stanley Penney was my Grandfather, Husband of Alice and Father to John Penney. Stanley served as a Grenadier Guard for 25 years, he served at Dunkirk even carrying his serving officer to safety when the officer was badly wounded. He received no medal for this but we have a valued letter from the Wife of the officer thanking him. Rest in peace you did us proud.
