Clifford Spencer was my Grandfather. He died in 1997, in Wagga Wagga NSW Australia from a short illness. He and his wife, Irene, moved their family of three children (including my father Jeffrey, the youngest) from Liverpool to Melbourne, Australia in the early 1960's. He loved nothing more than tending to his roses, smoking a cigarette, and talking to the local magpies (birds) who came to visit his garden. He used to take me and my siblings fishing, trying teach us patience and silence... and although we never mastered his knack for it, he rarely lost his temper. He was a good man, and is missed by the family. Grandad is survived by his wife, Irene, his children Linda, Pearl and Jeffrey, ten grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.
