I had the privilege to meet “Rodders” as a fellow member of Royal West Norfolk Golf Club or “Brancaster Golf Club” as it is more commonly known. John was a stalwart of the Club and was always good for a game on a Saturday morning followed by lunch at which he always excelled with his wonderful wit and excellent recollections of a wonderful career in Her Majesty’s service. John was a modest man and always had a kind word for his fellow members. He will be missed by his family and many friends. Rest in Peace.
