21006084 Mr Patrick Franks formerly 2nd Battalion

It is with deep regret that I inform you of the death of 21006084 Patrick Arthur Franks, who passed away at 0145hrs on Sunday 28 December, aged 94.

Born on 26 March 1931, Pat enlisted on 14 October 1947 and was discharged on 26 March 1953. He served with the 2nd Battalion Grenadier Guards, attaining the rank of Lance Sergeant.

A former member and Vice President of the Medway Branch, Pat transferred to the Kent Branch (then the East Kent Branch) in May 2023 following the closure of Medway. He was appointed a Vice President of the Kent Branch on 14 September 2024.

He remained, throughout his long life, a proud Grenadier.

We are awaiting information regarding the funeral arrangements.
