***CANCELLATION - GRENADIER GUARDS ASSOCIATION ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING (AGM)***

REF A. NOTES IN PREPARATIONFOR THE GRENADIER GUARDS ASSOCIATION ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING – SATURDAY 21st MARCH 2020 dated 26th February 2020.
At the Executive Committee meeting yesterday, and due to the current health situation that only seems likely to get worse, it was decided that the Association AGM planned for Saturday 21st March 2020 should be cancelled.
Sufficient paperwork to discharge the governance responsibilities of the meeting will be distributed in due course and minutes will follow as a result.
It is appreciated that some of you will have made and paid for travel/accommodation already. Those costs that cannot be refunded to you will be met by the Association.
For those entitled to claim for expenses and in order to recover these costs, please send all receipts to me with a covering letter by Friday 27th March and I will do my best to settle everything by the end of the following week.
I will do my best to ensure this message is passed to all that I was aware were intending to come, but please feel free to send on as you see fit.
Sgt Broomes will send out the Branch Gazettes previously ordered for collection at the AGM – we will bear the cost of postage.
If Branches want to take up the option of their two Troop tickets please send a cheque (£40/ticket) to Sgt Haughton (020 7414 3284 firstname.lastname@example.org) at RHQ by Fri 27th March (made payable to ‘The Regimental Adjutant Grenadier Guards’) and he will send them out to you in good time.
