COAST TO COAST FUNDRAISING WALK

Ladies and Gentlemen,
I know that some of you are aware that Matt Ellmer, the RCO and I set off shortly on a fund raising walk for the Colonel’s Fund.
Between 2 – 17 September we will walk through the Lake District, the Yorkshire Dales and the North York Moors from St Bees in Cumbria to Robin Hood’s Bay in Yorkshire, using Alfred Wainwright’s Coast to Coast route as our guide.
It’s about 192 miles in all.
Fundraising has got off to a good start through Just Giving (much of it down to Colonel Alexander Heroys, celebrating his 80th Birthday, who along with the Association President is walking Leg 2 with us from Ennerdale Bridge to Seatoller, about 14 miles and includes the steepest climb of the whole route!) – link at: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/matthew-ellmer3

Our target is £10,000 and at the time of writing we stand at £2,155.96 + £387.50 Gift Aid.
We would both be very grateful for any and all support – it would certainly help keep us going and of course benefit such a great Regimental cause.
