GRENADIER DAY 2021 CANCELLATION

Grenadiers,

I regret to inform you that we have decided to cancel our plans to hold Grenadier Day at Lille Barracks in early July. Working around the 1st Battalion’s busy forecast of events meant that there was no flexibility for delay and there are still widespread concerns that a gathering shortly after lockdown restrictions are due to lift, is both premature and risky.

Therefore, this year Grenadier Day will again not take place. We will aim to hold the event in 2022, although the location is as yet undecided, but this gives all time and space to get rid of the pandemic and for us to gather once again safely, without restrictions.
